Give me Dionysus kids with horns, wild eyes and sharp teeth that could rip your dang throat out if they get too riled up because Dionysus has the eiphet of flesheater and is more than the god of wine and partying!

Give me Poseidon kids with gills!

Give me Hades kids with slightly translusent skin like a ghost!

Give me Hephaestus kids made from fire and Hephaestus kids made from clay like Pandora!

Give me Hermes kids with tiny wings on their ankles or wings around their ears!

Percy and Grover are the two biggest gossips in the riordanverse and no one can convince me otherwise.

Percy/Grover knows when the other has just learned something juicy cause of their empathy link (that's been completely forgotten buy literally everyone, something I cry bout everyday).

Now don't get me wrong, Percy and Grover would never share/spread what they know outside of each other, they know how damaging rumours can be.

I just hc that Percy subconsciously seeks out information on other people as a sort of "passive" defense mechanism if that makes sense.

With how little people tell him (if they tell me anything at all) and how often everyone, even those closest to him, deliberately keeps him in the dark, his habit of seeking out "gossip" and "rumors" when he was younger steadily developed into a habit of seeking and hoarding whatever information he could find.

Like he doesn't need to know but he'd like too, and virtually nothing about his behavior towards the others would change aside from the fact he'd be more prepared to interact/deal with the person he's talking to/facing, more prepared to "code switch" in a way.

Which loops in well with the fact that many people (Grover, annabeth, Thalia, Bianca, Zoe etc) confide in Percy/tell him bout their pasts/secrets easily enough, and while Percy listens to and empathizes with them he rarely offers up his own experiences.

One of the only times I can remember where Percy tried to get someone to see/understand his pov with him was in TLT where he asked annabeth something to the effect of "what if it was your dad that was kidnapped?" and annabeth replied with something like "I wouldn't care" which understandably surprised Percy. I think that interaction is part of the reason why Percy never speaks about himself/his past with others, it's obviously not the only thing that contributed but I think it was a decent sized factor in maybe not creating but rather cementing the idea that Percy should keep his cards as close to his chest as possible, and if he ever had to share any of his cards I think he'd like to know how he should share them, like how he should phrase things and what points he should make yk?

The more he knows bout the person he may have to interact with, the easier it would be to "make a plan" so to speak (and by "make a plan" I mean that Percy wouldn't have to worry much bout stepping into uncomfortable territory if that makes sense)

Let's not forget that despite what everyone says and believes (both in universe and in fandom), Percy is not only smart as hell, he's also incredibly observant and he notices a lot of things, he'd find it real easy to build a profile on everything he comes into contact with.

Grover, due to the empathy link, did pick up Percy's habit and adopted it himself but he also just straight up likes to gossip

Headcannon

Sally is a huge Percabeth shipper, and she always watches the two when they're together. After Kronos is defeated, Annabeth starts coming over to Percy's house often. One day, Sally peeks in and sees the two kiss. She closes the door slowly and sneaks away, silently squealing.

gentleman behaviour in a partner is everything actually-

Solangelo thoughts. Greet me with a kiss. And some facts from TSATS because I can't get over them.

So I have this headcanon that since Nico was born in the 1930s. He was raised to act gentleman-like.

When greeting someone, like your partner, a woman in higher power —or a woman in general. They would kiss the back of their hand.

Nico grew up with women. (Older sister and mother.) Of course he's taught to be gentlemanly to women.

So he probably had this talk of how to treat his partner. How to court a woman. With flowers and sweet nothings or murmurs.

So stoll he has a bit of his past that he remembers still left. And he has those sweetheart traits.

He remembers what to do and so.. Kind of incorporates it when courting Will.

So whenever he greets Will, (Now in the dating stage.) just imagine him taking his hand catching Will off guard, and plants a kiss on the back of his hand in a gentlemanly manner and simply says. "Good morning."

Imagine the taken aback and flustered look from Will upon this gesture. Imagine the little agape moutsh from the others witnessing this little moment when they realize oh my gosh— the creepy scary son of Hades is a gentleman.

Now imagine before they're dating. People suspect it's Nico who'll be courted and Will courting him. Cause y'know.. Stereotypes.

But then imagine walking by the infirmary and you see a son of Hades with a bouquet of flowers, well groomed hair and some kind of suit. With a stunned, red-face, profusing blush all over the son of Apollo at the entrance.

Both of them have a blush in fact. It's just that one is out of embarrassment, and one is just stunned. And by the sake of the gods you hear the son of Hades say something along the lines.

"Will you go out with me..?" While handing the bouquet with ears red like a tomato.

And he just greets him with flowers on every date they go or something. (A lot of them are from Persephone.)

Imagine little moments of Will shivering in the cold weather. And Nico just offering his jacket (I like to think it's a jacket that actually fits the both of them. It was big at first but he grew into it slowly.) and he wraps it around Will's shoulders and just checking on him making sure he's not going to catch a cold.

Now for the rant.

It IS canon that Will has done the fainting trick on Nico multiple times. (As mentioned in TSATS.) So just imagine Nico near Will and after doing a bunch of hefty, draining shifts he collapses and Nico is there to catch him quickly and scoop him up in his arms knowing he doesn't have the energy to stay balanced. All while cursing under his breath because he wouldn't take a break.

But he knows the only way to get Will to take a break is him passing out.

And he canonically helps Will over something even though both of them are exhausted. Like in that one scene he helps Will over a tree branch before him then climbs it over himself despite the hands that are held out for him.

He waves them away saying Will's more exhausted than him and that he doesn't need it, is a TRUE gentleman. 😭

The way he reassures him when walking down the path in TSATS. The way he just plants kisses on the back of his neck in the tunnel and tells him he's doing so WELL???

He is canonically a gentleman towards Will. Either always holding his hand or kissing him.

Nico is genuinely a sweet guy who just so happens to pretend to be cold as a way to defend himself from others.

We love him. :3 I love him. He's actually so sweet. 😭

He is however very sad that neither Annabeth, Clarrise or Drew had met Octavian in camp Jupiter, because as much as he frowns on it he would pay any kind of money to see those three tear him a new one for acting like a little bitch he is.

headcanon that percy stays ready to clock the minotaur. this man would pause his lunch break to give this bull it's horn a third time. this man would dehydrate for two days if it meant he could murk this bull at the end of it. this man's beef with this walking beef is so grandeur. it was the first monster he killed the moment the battle of mamhattan began. this is one of percy's consistent bloodlust moments and no one will ever fault him for it.

Headcanon that the gods technically don't have beef with Will at ALL.

They know he has no reason to be having beef with. He just wants to save people's lives. (Except for Nyx, but obviously that's different we're talking about the Greek Pantheon here.)

Apollo likes him, cause that's his son.

Hades likes him, (cause he's proved to be a good boyfriend to Nico.)

Persephone! She probably senses Will to be a good person overall from the way he's so eager to understand Nico when they met at the garden.

Poseidon? Somewhat unsure, but I've never seen him have any beef with Will at all. So there's that.

Demetor? Still hasn't been proved to have beef with the gods.

Hera? Oh she probably likes him for going down to Tartarus for love and stayed loyal to Nico ever since.

And whoever else. I don't think he genuinely ever has disrespected any of the gods to have beef with them.

He's just a likeable character from their eyes. He minds his own business, only steps in for health. Nothing more.

Zeus probably only sees him as a normal demigod, so he just doesn't have beef at all.

sally crying again because she's never had a parent figure since her uncle died and now paul's parents are all over her with their affection and acceptance (especially once they find out about the greek world)

a cool older cousin who ruffles percy's hair, teams up with annabeth to make fun of him, plays video games with him (annabeth teases percy that despite saving the world multiple times, he still wants to impress said cousin but still finds it cute how percy is adjusting to being the little brother for once)

when percy goes missing, all of them team up and consider marching up to olympus to kill the gods for kidnapping their new little baby boy

then after the events of hoo they adopt all of the seven

and they literally have to buy a bigger table because of the big family dinners they all have

and percy's just like 🥲 maybe relatives don't need to be out to ruin your life and traumatise you 24/7?

I've always wondered why the Romans think demigods all of a sudden started getting claimed? They couldn't know about Percy's deal with Olympus, so what do they think happened?

The gods were probably like "as a reward for fighting in the war we will now claim you all!"

The Romans were probably pretty proud of that.

Then like a year later this conversation happens:

Annabeth: and then after Percy made the gods promise to claim all their children-

Jason: THAT WAS YOU?!

Percy: yeah. Why did you think the god suddenly started claiming everybody?
